Dianne Capra is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at My Cardiologist. She originally attended Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Myers, FL., where she pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Dianne discovered her passion for cardiology as she worked in the telemetry and cardiovascular step down unit for 5 years. Dianne was awarded ‘patient satisfaction champion of the hospital’ in Boca Raton Regional Hospital for her critical thinking skills and compassionate care.

For three years, while working in South Miami Hospital as a float registered nurse, where she floated to a variety of different specialty settings, it was even more reassuring that cardiac medicine was her highest point of interest. She then went on and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Nova Southeastern University in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. with the reward of highest honors. Dianne is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and is licensed in Florida.

She has worked predominantly in cardiovascular settings, and has managed patients with congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias and patients pre and postoperative with cardiac intervention. Dianne provides a focus on healthcare prevention and patient and family-centered care with an emphasis in the collaboration of the healthcare provider and patient in the approach of planning, delivery and evaluation of the patient’s care. She is involved in the entire continuum of care of My Cardiologist patients and will be seeing patients in the office and the inpatient hospital setting.
