Dr. Jose Martel is board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society, which oversees guidelines and leads progress in the field of Electrophysiology. He is an expert in the management of various heart rhythm disorders, including but not limited to Atrial Fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia. Dr. Martel has a special interest in atrial fibrillation management, and is a local expert in ablation of complex atrial arrythmias. He is also skilled at full service cardiac device management, including pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and extraction. Dr. Martel is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate specialty and sub-specialty training at the University of Miami School of Medicine / Jackson Memorial Hospital.
